Long Beach Cat Lounges, Collectives, and More

If you fancy felines, Long Beach is right up your alley, Cat! How cat-centric is the city? Well, not only does it boast a cat lounge and a cat art gallery, but it’s also home to at least two organizations dedicated to cat welfare and adoption. And, of course there are all the cool cats that flock to the city’s two jazz festivals as well as vintage aficionados that flock to, perhaps, the city’s most famous clothing store … Meow.

COOL CAT COLLECTIVE

The people at Cool Cat Collective (2741 E 4th St) believe that “everything is better with cats.” Which explains why everything in this gallery/boutique space is cat-themed, whether it’s art prints, home decor, ceramics, books, candles and a whole lot more. They believe by bringing art and cats together they can move some people to welcome cats not only into their hearts, but also their homes. Which you can also do since there are always cats on the premises that you can adopt!

THE LITTLE LION FOUNDATION

FELINE GOOD SOCIAL CLUB

Though this cat haven is ostensibly for the kitties, it’s the humans who get a good deal of the benefits. Feline Good Social Club (301 Atlantic Ave.), the city’s first cat lounge, allows you to relax, bond and generally cuddle with its 25-plus cats. Does it get any cozier than that? Feline Good allows visitors to enter a focused, zen-like, cat-loving state and facilitates rescue cat adoptions through its partner, Long Beach Felines. Feline Good also hosts numerous cat events including Crochet With Cats, Cats & Mats Yoga and the dinner-themed Meow & Chow.
