Dining Near the Long Beach Airport

Long Beach Airport is picture perfect–featured in so many movies and TV shows it has its own IMDB page–and often noted for its ease of use and historical significance having just celebrated its 100-year anniversary. It also sits at the heart of a vibrant area boasting an amazing range of delicious dining options. From elevated food courts to spectacular views, small plates to all-you-can-eat, there’s all manner of cuisines and scenes available for a great dining experience to take flight.

Coffee Parlor & Pizza Parlor

Start your day with breakfast at Coffee Parlor (2944 Clark Ave), where you can pair your cappuccino or cold brew with a breakfast burrito or horchata French toast, along with other tempting menu items. The restaurant prides itself on using local ingredients and cooking everything from scratch, so you’ll have a delicious start to your day.

Pizza Parlor (2936 Clark Ave) is one of several restaurants raising Long Beach’s profile as a destination for pizza lovers. Their menu of artisan-made pizzas on naturally leavened sourdough crust offers many traditional choices, and also unique signature creations, like the LA Taco pizza, featuring birria, queso fresco, pickled red onions, and cilantro.

AIKAN SUSHI

A very popular spot, known for its fun atmosphere, artful presentation and an all-you-can-eat option that never sacrifices on quality. Aikan (4201 E Willow St) serves some of the best sushi in the city, expertly prepared and presented, as well as a vast variety of appetizers and traditional and specialty rolls. It has a great Happy Hour featuring great deals on sushi, salads, appetizers and udon, as well as beer and sake.

LONG BEACH EXCHANGE

Located just north of Long Beach Airport, the Long Beach Exchange (4069 N Lakewood Blvd) is a dynamic, experiential retail and dining destination, encompassing about 266,000-square-feet of stores, shops and restaurants including The 908 featuring classic American cookery and seasonal fare complemented by an exceptional bar. Bar Becky serves classic Italian dishes, including house made pasta, and if you’ve been eager to see what the fuss is all about regarding In-N-Out Burgers, they’ve got one of those, also. THE HANGAR

Located within Long Beach Exchange, The Hangar (4150 McGowen St) is an elevated food court, home to a diverse offering of great eateries and drinkeries amid an energetic vibe. Among the more than a dozen spots are Marinate Korean BBQ and DonerG’s unique flavors of Turkey. Morning Nights has an extensive vegan dim sum menu that can be paired with craft cocktails, and The Kroft is a rustic gastropub offering homemade goods ranging from poutines to sandwiches and sides. TERRACE GRILL & PATIO

With cozy seating inside or out, Terrace Grill & Patio is located within the Long Beach Marriott (4700 Airport Plaza Dr) basically across the street from Long Beach Airport. Its satisfying menu of California, Latin and Asian cuisines are offered at breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as a Sunday champagne brunch. Taking your meal out by the Marriott’s pristine pool–certified Angus Beef steaks are available for dinnertime–is a distinctly Long Beach experience.

VUE

With a panoramic view of the Long Beach city skyline, Vue–located on the top floor of the Holiday Inn Long Beach Airport (2640 N Lakewood Blvd) this bar and restaurant delivers California-inspired regional cuisine—and a unique place to enjoy it. Combining stunning views with delicious menu items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Vue is both spectacular and romantic, offering a unique atmosphere and ambiance.
