Well, many of Long Beach’s hotels and resorts are now using an app-based reservation service to offer access to their pools, rooms, and fitness centers. Why not treat yourself to a pool day at some of the city’s finest local lodgings?

HOTEL MAYA

Across the harbor from Downtown Long Beach, Hotel Maya (700 Queensway Dr.) offers a resort-style “daycation” experience through the ResortPass app, with a choice of day passes at $35 per adult and $1 per child or a cabana for two adults and two children for $300. While the kids play at the giant chess board or ping pong tables, you can enjoy the outdoor heated pool and Jacuzzi, complimentary Wi-Fi, private sand beach area, and poolside food and drink service from the hotel’s restaurant, Fuego.

HILTON LONG BEACH

The Hilton Long Beach (701 W Ocean Blvd) features an elevated pool deck with a pool and hot tub surrounded by a grass lawn. Day passes are available through the ResortPass app at $30 per adult and $15 per child. Cabanas can be reserved for $120. Enjoy food and drink service from Enclave Lobby Bar and Kitchen, which serves beer, wine, and craft cocktails. Day passes also include access to the hotel’s 24-hour fitness center.

HYATT CENTRIC

You can’t beat the 360-degree view from the Hyatt Centric (285 Bay St) rooftop pool. Download the ResortPass app to book a “daycation” for $25 per adult and $15 per child, or opt to reserve a daybed for $75 or cabana for up to 4 people for $150. Enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi and order food and drinks from the Watercraft Market and Lounge, offering breakfast, lunch, and snacks, or grab a craft cocktail at the Topsail Rooftop Bar. After your pool day, you can simply walk out of the hotel and into the Pike Outlets, where it’s located, to shop or grab a bite.

HYATT REGENCY

Next door to the convention center, the Hyatt Regency (200 S Pine Ave) faces Shoreline Drive and Rainbow Lagoon. From the pool area, you can watch people paddling swan boats in Rainbow Lagoon Park. Snag a day pass reservation on the ResortPass app for $24 per adult and $10 per child to access the heated outdoor pool and whirlpool. Reserve a cabana for up to six people for $125. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase, and guests also enjoy free Wi-Fi and discounted self-parking.

HOLIDAY INN LONG BEACH AIRPORT

This location shares pool and fitness center facilities with Staybridge Suites Long Beach. Reserving at the Holiday Inn (2640 N Lakewood Blvd) through the ResortPass app includes food and beverage service from the top floor VUE Bar and Restaurant, and the option to reserve a day room for up to four people starting at $109. Day passes for the pool are priced at $20 per adult and $10 per child and include access to the fitness center, towel service, and complimentary WiFi.

STAYBRIDGE SUITES LONG BEACH

This location shares pool and fitness center facilities with Holiday Inn Long Beach Airport. Day room ($129) and boardroom ($150) passes are available at Staybridge Suites (2680 Lakewood Blvd) through the ResortPass app and include pool and fitness center access and complimentary drinks and appetizers on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings. Day rooms are suites including a full kitchen, workspace, and complimentary WiFi. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase from the hotel’s market.
