Long Beach Restaurants with Live Music

Nothing enhances the ambience of dining out quite like a side of live music, whether it’s a classy jazz trio in a steakhouse, a torch singer in an Italian restaurant, a guitarist at a small café or a rock band playing classic covers at the local pub. Throughout Long Beach, restaurants of all kinds–steakhouses to seafood, tapas to tacos–host performers who bring their talents to make your night out a bit more special.

PINE AVENUE

Pine Avenue is a hub for nightlife in Long Beach’s downtown. Grab a juicy steak and a cocktail at The Carvery Restaurant (201 Pine Ave), which hosts live music Thursdays through Sundays. Cafe Sevilla (140 Pine Ave) has live music Wednesdays through Sundays, including Latin jazz, flamenco, and DJ sets. Solita Tacos and Margaritas (1 Pine Ave) offers music on Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoon and evenings. You can also catch jazz, rock, and Irish folk music at The Auld Dubliner (71 S Pine Ave) on select evenings each month.

Downtown

Stop by District Wine (144 Linden Ave) on select evenings for sets by local musicians. Enjoy some pasta on Modica’s outdoor cafe seating for their After 5 music sessions every Friday. There is live music every night of the week (except Monday when they are closed) at The Ordinarie (210 The Promenade N), including jazz, blues, and DJ sets. Pair it with their late night grilled cheese menu for a perfect final stop on your weekend bar crawl.

BELMONT SHORE

Tantalum (6272 Pacific Coast Hwy), at the edge of the Marina Pacifica shopping center, features live music Tuesdays through Sundays evenings, with two sets on Saturdays for the lunch/brunch crowd. It’s a similar schedule at Boathouse on the Bay (190 N Marina Dr), where diners can catch performers every evening Tuesday through Sunday, with sets all day on weekends. And Roe Seafood (5374 E 2nd St) stations musicians at an unobtrusive stage in the corner of their dining room on Wednesday and Friday evenings.

Waterfront

Risü (207 E Seaside Way Suite A) offers live music every Friday and Saturday evening under the sparkling lights of the Rainbow Bridge. Shenanigans Irish Pub & Grille hosts rock bands Thursdays through Sundays, with afternoon and evening sets on weekends. Queensview Steakhouse on the third floor of Parkers’ Lighthouse (435 Shoreline Village Dr) hosts live jazz Wednesday through Sunday evenings.
