Oktoberfest in Long Beach

Grab your lederhosen and your favorite stein–it’s Oktoberfest 2024 in Long Beach! You can find festivities across town throughout the months of September and October, featuring polka bands, stein-holding contests, and–of course–beer. Prost!

STEELCRAFT LONG BEACH

Oktoberfest at Steelcraft Long Beach (3768 Long Beach Blvd) will be held on September 21 from 12 to 10 PM, with live music, a contest for best dressed in traditional German garb, a stein hoisting competition, and weiner dog races. Entry is free and throughout the event you can grab some eats from any of the Steelcraft vendors, including Angelenos’ Pizza, La Taqueria, I Luv Ur Buns, Koolberry, Hangry Belly, and Smog City Brewing.

RASSELBOCK KITCHEN & BEER GARDEN

You can enjoy authentic German cuisine and beer all year long at Rasselbock Kitchen & Beer Garden (4020 Atlantic Ave), but the Bixby Knolls eatery will be taking it up a notch with Oktoberfest celebration. The kick-off party on September 21 at 3PM will feature live music, food and drink specials, and decorations, with the staff dressed in lederhosen and dirndls to tap the ceremonial Oktoberfest keg.

LONG BEACH OKTOBERFEST BAR CRAWL

On September 28, enjoy a self-guided Long Beach Oktoberfest Bar Crawl in Downtown Long Beach. Tickets include a wristband that provides free entry to the venues offering various food and drink specials. The crawl begins at The Stave Bar (170 The Promenade N), and ticket holders can visit each of the participating stops between 4 and 11PM.

LONG BEACH BEER LAB

Long Beach Beer Lab (518 W Willow St) is combining an Oktoberfest celebration with their 7th anniversary for an event on October 20 highlighting their craft beers and experimental eats. Hosted from 12 to 5PM in their back parking lot, the Lab’s Oktoberfest is a family friendly celebration, with bounce houses, an ice cream truck, and face painting. Everyone can enjoy live music, pop-ups by local vendors, and dog races, and the adults can try new beer releases and a stein-holding competition.

PORT CITY TAVERN

On September 28, Port City Tavern (4306 E Anaheim St) will host its 2nd Annual Oktoberfest to raise funds for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and childhood cancer research. From 3 to 10PM, enjoy live music on the outdoor stage, games and contests, and food and drink in the Biergarten. Support the fundraising effort by bidding on items in the silent auction or signing up to get your head shaved for the cause with childhood cancer survivor and local barber Hayley Mackanin.
