Not only does the present ownership go back to the year 2000, the shop itself has been around more than a century; since 1921. True to its name, its focus is on barbering. They offer all styles, including fades, flattops, tapers, layers, line ups, military cuts and modern haircuts, all of them delivered with an added straight razor clean up of your neck.

From its opening five years ago, Americano Barber Co. (344 E Fourth St) has strived to be a neighborhood shop that does things the old fashioned way with a modern twist. Sitting in their vintage, 1930s era chairs, you can get a classic cut, straight edge shave as well as the latest in contemporary follicle fashion. The environment is friendly and relaxed, made all the more convivial with a complimentary drink (adult or otherwise).
DELUXE PARLOR & SHAVE CLUB
Bringing together both the look and the vibe of a classic barbershop, Deluxe Parlor & Shave Club (329 Pine Ave/4250 Atlantic Ave) has grown from its original spot in Downtown Long Beach to now include a shop in Bixby Knolls. Both locations emphasize comfort, with oversized leather chairs in the waiting area and complimentary beverages to relax with. Whether it’s expert cuts or steaming hot towels, they believe in doing the craft right.
