Women’s History Month Events in Long Beach

March is Women’s History Month, and Long Beach is celebrating with events across the city. Check out our roundup of events spotlighting the talents, achievements, contributions and leadership of women in Long Beach and beyond.

FIRST FRIDAYS

First Fridays in Bixby Knolls on March 7 will celebrate Women’s History Month, with activations in the neighborhood showcasing women artists and musicians. Check out art pop-ups and exhibits at KUBO LB, the Expo Arts Center, and The Allery, an art gallery in the alley next to the Expo Arts Center. WATCH ME! SPORTS BAR

On March 8, International Women’s Day, Watch Me! Sports Bar (6527 E Pacific Coast Hwy) will host events all day celebrating women, including a brunch at 10AM, watch party with WNBA Club LA at 3 and 4PM, and a screening of the new documentary, Untapped, which chronicles the growing women’s sports bar movement. 2ND & PCH

Each weekend, 2ND & PCH (6400 Pacific Coast Hwy) hosts outdoor pop-up markets featuring dozens of artisan vendors. In addition to shopping for handcrafted gifts, jewelry, artwork, and accessories, markets include family friendly activities, and live music and entertainment. On March 9, The 714 Market will host a Wonder Women Market celebrating Women’s History Month and featuring face painting, live caricatures, and permanent jewelry. The festivities continue on March 15, when The Makers Hive Market takes over 2ND & PCH with a women-centric pop-up.

QUEEN MARY

On March 15, the Queen Mary (1126 Queens Hwy) will host its inaugural Queens in the Making Women’s Empowerment Summit, an all-day event featuring keynote speakers, breakout sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities.
