MUSEUM OF LATIN AMERICAN ART
THE PIONEERING MUSEUM IN THE WESTERN US FEATURES CONTEMPORARY LATIN AMERICAN AND LATINX ART.
The Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) was founded in 1996 in Long Beach, California and serves the greater Los Angeles area. It is the pioneering museum in the United States dedicated to modern and contemporary Latin American and Latinx art. Since its inception, MOLAA has doubled its size, adding a 15,000 sq. ft. sculpture garden, and expanded its permanent collection, ranging from works by Tamayo, Matta, Cruz Diez to Romero, Baca and Mendieta. MOLAA’s focus is on strengthening its position as a multidisciplinary institution providing a cross-cultural dialogue with artists to connect to both the scholarly community and the general public.
