Long Beach Labor Day Celebrations 2024

Summer's winding down, but the fun is just heating up! Between the last-minute beach days and back-to-school prep, make time for one final hurrah in Long Beach. We've rounded up the best festivals and events to help you celebrate Labor Day Weekend 2024 in style.

Big Bang on the Bay

When: September 1, 2024

The Big Bang on the Bay Block Party returns on Labor Day Weekend! The event features entertainment, including aircraft flyovers, paragliding displays, a Coast Guard Dolphin Search and Rescue demonstration, and live music with a special DJ. The event concludes with a 30-minute fireworks display at 8:30 p.m. Tickets include dinner catered by Naples Rib Company, and premium seating inside Boathouse on the Bay restaurant is also available.

New Blues Festival

When: August 31 to September 2, 2024

The best international & local blues performers return to New Blues Festival this Labor Day Weekend! Enjoy food from local vendors and sip on your favorite drinks while listening to live performances and enjoying the beautiful scenic views of the Long Beach Waterfront.

Summer Concert Series at Shoreline Village

When: August 31 - September 2, 2024

Shoreline Village's Summer Concert Series come to a close for the season Labor Day Weekend. Don't miss the fun at one of these final performances:

  • Friday | 1PM - 5PM | So Rad (90’s)
  • Friday | 6PM - 9PM Crown City Bombers (rockabilly)
  • Saturday | 1PM - 5PM | Catfish and the Hollywood Hound Dogs (blues)
  • Sunday | 1PM - 5PM | Living in Stereo (90’s till now)

Greek Festival

When: August 31 - September 2, 2024

Opa! Get ready to eat, drink, and dance your way through Greece without leaving Long Beach! Celebrate Labor Day weekend with family-friendly carnival attractions, traditional dances, and self-guided tours in a stunning Greek Orthodox church. This festival features food vendors serving classic Greek meals such as souvlaki, roasted chicken, and gyros. Be amazed watching dancers of all ages perform Greek folk dances, bringing an all-encompassing celebration of life.
