Community Connects with Musical Theatre West

Musical Theatre West’s Community Connects series will host a magical afternoon, featuring a special Into the Woods Storybook Character Reading! Children will be transported into the enchanting world of classic fairy tales, read by beloved characters from Into the Woods—including Jack, Little Red Riding Hood, and Cinderella. This immersive experience invites young imaginations to explore timeless stories while fostering a love of reading and creativity.

Local community organizations will set up booths, including the Bay Shore Neighborhood Library and Aquarium of the Pacific.

Community Connects is a series designed to bring the magic of live theatre beyond the stage and into the community. Through interactive experiences, educational opportunities, and special events, Community Connects invites audiences of all ages to engage with the arts in meaningful and accessible ways.

Adding to the fun, local organizations will have booths set up with themed crafts and resources, including origami. A food truck will be onsite with tacos for purchase, as well as a bounce house for children. This unique gathering will be an unforgettable opportunity for families to engage with stories and each other in a supportive, family-friendly environment.
