Desperate Measures

International City Theatre presents Desperate Measures, the Los Angeles premiere of an American musical comedy written with book and lyrics by Peter Kellogg, music by David Friedman, and directed by Todd Nielsen.

When the dangerously handsome Johnny Blood's life is on the line, he must put his fate into the hands of a colorful cast of characters including a mysterious sheriff, an eccentric priest, a narcissistic governor, a saloon girl gone good, and a nun out of the habit.

On opening night, Feb. 21, ICT will host Dr. Jane Close Conoley Appreciation Night, in recognition of Dr. Conoley's decades of dedication and service to education, youth, and our community. Dr. Conoley is retiring as president of California State University, Long Beach.
