Musica Angelica Community Concert

The Musica Angelica Baroque Orchestra will present a FREE community concert in the Miller Room at the Billie Jean King Main Library.
This free event is open to all ages. Ticket discounts and giveaway for a future Musica Angelica performance will be offered, and the audience can participate in a Q&A after the performance.
This special duo performance will feature noted baroque guitarist and instrumentalist Richard Savino paired with leading baroque soprano Jennifer Ellis Kampani presenting a program of music that features the progression of baroque guitar to modern guitar with music from Latin America and Italy.
GRAMMY-nominated guitarist Richard Savino, recognized for his recordings and awards such as the Diapason d'Or, has been featured on BBC/PRI/NPR's The World and created soundtracks for Dutch master art collections. He collaborates with top ensembles worldwide, holds a doctorate from SUNY Stony Brook, and teaches at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Learn more at richardsavino.net.
Soprano Jennifer Ellis Kampani, a GRAMMY nominee and leading Baroque interpreter, has performed internationally with ensembles like American Bach Soloists and Apollo's Fire. Recent highlights include her Carnegie Hall debut with El Mundo and a starring role in La Purpura de la Rosa with the Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado. She also teaches at USC.
