Neighborhood Halloween Carnival
October 31, 4:00pm
The City of Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine, in partnership with the Office of Climate Action and Sustainability, is hosting the Neighborhood Halloween Carnival at Silverado Park. This free, family-friendly Halloween community event is part of the City’s Neighbor-to-Neighbor Program and will focus on fostering connection and building communities that come together to engage locally.
The Neighborhood Halloween Carnival will feature carnival games and play stations, including haunted hoop games, ring tosses, balloon animals and other family recreational games. Attendees will enjoy arts and craft stations, where they can create straw bats, Halloween masks, coloring pages and glitter tattoos. The event will also feature a cake walk contest, cookie decorating and candy and goody contests.
To foster community connection, attendees will receive a passport card that encourages play and mingling with their neighbors. Residents are invited to dress in their best Halloween costume and participate in the glow party costume contest.
The Neighborhood Halloween Carnival is a designated Neighbor-To-Neighbor event that is part of the California Volunteers network, and sponsored by the State of California, Governor's Office of Planning and Research and the Long Beach Office of Climate Action and Sustainability. To learn more about how to participate in the Neighbor-To-Neighbor program, including a calendar of upcoming events, is available on the program website.
