U.S. Conference of Mayors Selects Long Beach, CA for 2026 Annual Meeting
(LONG BEACH, CA – June 25, 2024) The U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) has selected Long Beach, California, to host its 94th annual meeting in June 2026. The annual meeting is one of two major meetings the organization hosts each year to adopt policy resolutions that guide the organization’s advocacy work. The event will bring mayors from across the USA to the City of Long Beach.
“I look forward to welcoming America’s Mayors to Long Beach for the 2026 Annual Meeting of the United States Conference of Mayors,” said Long Beach Mayor Rex Richardson. “This is a time of dynamic change and opportunity in Long Beach, and I am eager for the Conference to see it up close. There is so much going for our city as we grow Long Beach, prepare for the 2028 Olympics, foster the fastest-growing aerospace sector, continue our leadership as America’s leading trade gateway, and take on big city challenges like homelessness and climate change with innovative solutions. We look forward to sharing our progress and insights at the 2026 Annual Meeting.”
Mayor Richardson serves on the USCM Advisory Board and has appeared with the organization at events like South by Southwest, where he participated in a panel discussion called Cities of Tomorrow: Opportunities for Transforming Urban Life.
