Al Unser, Jr.

Al Unser, Jr. is a member of one of America's great racing families.

He followed in the footsteps of his father and uncle to become a repeat champion at Indianapolis, winning the Indy 500 in 1992 and 1994.

Competing in his 19th "500" in 2007, he moved to third place in the all-time "laps completed" category, trailing only his father and A.J. Foyt. Unser captured the CART championship series in 1990 and 1994 and won 31 events between 1984 and 1995. He dominated the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, winning it an incredible six times in 1988,1989,1990,1991,1994 and 1995, and was also runner-up in 1986 and 1987. Unser was Can-Am champion at the age of 20 in 1982, and in 1994 won eight of the 16 races in the CART series and was named ABC's Wide World of Sports Athlete of the Year
