Toronto-born James Hinchcliffe won the Long Beach Grand Prix in 2017 and finished third in 2012. He was the NTT INDYCAR SERIES Rookie of the Year in 2011 and got his first Indy Lights win at Long Beach in 2010. He came up through the Atlantic Championship and Firestone Indy Lights series and made his INDYCAR debut in 2011 withpowerhouse team Newman-Haas Racing. From 2012-2014 he succeeded Danica Patrick as driver of the GoDaddy car for Andretti Autosport. His first win was at the 2013 season-opening race at St. Petersburg and he went on to earn six wins, 32 Top-5s and a very impressive 70 Top-10 finishes in a 10-year career. He gained national fame outside of racing when he appeared on season 23 of the ABC hit Dancing With The Stars where he finished second. Currently he is an INDYCAR commentator for NBC.
